"Sure I have six legs, three body parts and antenna just like the rest of the insects. But I'm a bit more special than the rest of those stiff-necked invertebrates; I can look behind me. Just ask an ant to do that. It can't. I'm the only insect the world that can spin my handsome head far enough to see behind me. I bet the juicy flies and spiders I eat all day long wish they could do that. Maybe they would have seen me coming then? Probably not though. I'm a master of disguise to boot.
The one on the left. But that's about as god as camouflage can get, so don't feel bad if you guessed the one on the right. It was a stick from the tree the weevil was found on.
An ant trash pile and a cemetery. Ants may have small mouths, but thousands of ants have thousands of small mouths. And thousands of small mouths can munch on big things like millipedes, insects and even snakes. They aren't slobs though. They do clean up after meals and run the leftover bits out of the anthill and up to the cemetery.
